English Country Garden Quilt Along - Block 3 now available

Hello and Welcome to April 2021!

This month's bloom is the Forget-me-not Wreath.  You can grab your copy of the pattern here

Forget-me-nots (Myosotis) are a gloriously delicate flower that bloom in the Spring here.  It is a low-growing flower that compliments other popular Spring flowers such as Crocus, Daffodils and Tulips.

Although usually a pale blue in colour, these flowers also come in pale pink or white – don’t feel that you must use the traditional blue and yellow fabrics for your blocks as I did.

Did you know?

The Myosotis flower has a rich symbolic history and is said to represent True Love, Fidelity and long-lasting connection.  There are many folk tales involving the Forget-me-not that exist from all around the world.

Here is a finished sample in my Blue and White colourway for this block.

The pale blue flowers with the white centres looked a little washed out, so I added some hand embroidery and French knots to add some interest.

What do you think?

That’s all for now, I hope that you are safe and well and are continuing to enjoy stitching along on this Block of the Month program with me.  You can grab your copy of the pattern here

Happy Stitching!

Alison xx
