English Country Garden Quilt Along - Block 1 now available
The time has finally come to start tending to our English Country Garden Quilts!
Early on in the first UK lockdown of March 2020, I ordered a Bee friendly wildflower seed mix and scattered it in a small area of my new vegetable patch. Lots of lovely wildflowers grew and I was thrilled when the poppies arrived!
I kept getting small glimpses of red amongst all the green foliage of my sunflowers, tomatoes and beans and they brought a smile to my face! (I’m sad that I didn’t take any real photos of the garden last year ☹)
You can just catch a glimpse of one of the poppies here in this photo from one of my Christmas in July posts:
Anyway, I digress – Here is the first instalment – The Poppy Wreath Block!
The block pattern includes print at home EPP templates and step-by-step photographs for making your own Poppy Wreath block. Follow the progress using #countrygardenqal on Social media to see all the beautiful blooms as they appear!
p.s. I really couldn’t get the Blue & White colour combination out of my head and couldn’t resist making a Poppy wreath block from my Blue scraps…what do you think? Let me know in the comments xx
