How to Glue Baste Hexagons for EPP

Glue Basting offers a speedy alternative to thread basting our shapes for English Paper Piecing.

Specialist water soluble glue suitable for fabrics provides a temporary bond between fabric and paper.

Here's how to do it:

1
Punch a hole in the centre of the template (it will make it easier to remove later on)
2
Glue the template to the wrong side of your fabric
3
Trim the fabric leaving approx. 3/8” seam allowance
4
Run a thin line of glue along the edge of the paper template and fold fabric over. Finger press
5
Continue around the hexagon, gluing and folding each side
6
